For an Overall Epic Night in Krabi
Ao Nang Pub Crawl
Right outside your door – if you’re one of the lucky ones staying with us – is all the fun you’ll need. The Bodega Ao Nang Pub Crawl runs every Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday at 8 PM. With at least four bars on the itinerary, it’s a night to remember (or not, depending on what you’ve had to drink). Make sure you ask the staff at the hostel how you can sign up – there’s a t-shirt, free bucket and free shots involved! Now, who could say no?
The Best Cocktail Bars in Krabi
Get Rad’s
A relative newcomer on the Krabi scene, Get Rad’s certainly knows how to impress the crowds. The owner has created a hotspot for fine cocktails that stand out from the typical sex on the beach and spirit and mixer drinks we’ve come to expect. Fresh ingredients, smart barmen, different glasses to suit each cocktail and no plastic straws – wahey!
Tew Lay Bar
For a chilled cocktail head to Tew Lay Bar on Railay beach. This rustic bamboo bar plays laid-back reggae tunes and offers simple yet delicious cocktails that you can sip while you relax with your toes in the sand.
Best Places to Drink Beer in Krabi
Chu-a-pa Studio
Craft beer is really taking off in Thailand and nowhere is this showcased in Krabi better than Chu-a-pa Studio. This hole-in-the-wall leaks out onto the street with people supping tasty craft brews from Thailand and abroad. The bar staff are knowledgeable and friendly and will happily help you choose the right beer, ale or stout to suit your mood.
Factory Beer Garden
Popular among both locals and tourists alike, Factory Beer Garden is a great open-air joint to enjoy a craft beer or two. You can kick back with a beer in hand listening to live music in the rustic garden before enjoying some snacks or a meal from the adjoined restaurant.
Best Places to Drink and Watch Boxing
Last Bar
This bar used to be aptly named as it was the last bar along the Railay strip but the road has since extended making the name somewhat redundant. Regardless, Last Bar is still a fun place for a night out in Krabi. The bar offers a beachside location, cheap buckets (obligatory in Thailand), fire shows and regular Muay Thai boxing matches. The events can get somewhat lively but once you’ve had a drink or two, you’ll certainly be cheering along!
The Reggae Bar (Koh Phi Phi)
The Reggae Bar in Koh Phi Phi is perhaps one of Thailand’s best-known bars for Muay Thai. This is the main focus of the bar, and as such all seats and tables are set out to make the most of the show. Whether you choose to don some shorts and get in the ring yourself or would prefer to keep yourself firmly coach-side you’re sure to have a fun night.
