We have a different party everyday of the week catered to backpackers, tour desk, delicious Thai food and everything you need during your stay in Bangkok!

Bodega Bangkok Cheat Sheet

Everything you need to know about traveling Bangkok

  • Never disrespect the Monarchy - They are widely revered in Thailand
  • Be respectful of Thai culture - Take off your shoes before entering households, cover your shoulders and knees when visiting Temples.
  • Drink lots of water - Bangkok is famously one of the hottest cities in the world so stay hydrated!
  • The BTS (Skytrain) is your best friend>
  • Pack light - save lots of room for shopping!!
  • Carry small change - Food vendors, Taxis, BTS etc don’t always have change
  • Haggle - You could save a lot of money

From Don Muang airport (DMK) Air Asia, Oriental Thai, Nok Air:

Option 1 Taxi: The cost should be approximately 300-350 baht and 30min-1hr depending on traffic (150 baht in tolls, 150-200 baht meter).

Option 2 Bus & BTS (skytrain): Take bus A1 (30 baht) to Mo Chit BTS station and catch the BTS (in the direction of Bearing) 11 stops to Asok BTS (42 baht).

Walking from Asok BTS: Take exit 3 (step down at Citibank building). At the bottom of the steps, turn left and walk a few meters to soi 23 (you will pass a Shell petrol station). Turn left on Soi 23 and walk ~200m. When you see either 'CRAFT' or 'Whisgars', turn right. Continue straight until you see NARZ club and follow the road left around the bend. We are located on the second small private street on the left; you will see our sign:)

From Suvarnabhumi airport (BKK) all other carriers:

Option 1 Taxi: The cost should be approximately 350 baht (100 baht in tolls, 250 baht meter)

Option 2 Airport Link train & MRT (subway): Take the airport link train from BKK to Makkasan station (45 baht) then change to the MRT (called Phetchaburi station) and go 1 stop in the direction of Hua Lamphong Railway Station to Asok/Sukhumvit MRT station (15 baht).

Walking from Asok/Sukhumvit MRT: Take exit 2 up the steps to ground level. Turn right and walk a few meters where you'll see a busy little street on your right full of bars and go-gos called 'Soi Cowboy'. This is the street from the movie 'The Hangover', beware, it's a bit bonkers. Walk down Soi Cowboy to the end where you will 'T' with Soi 23. Turn left and walk a few meters until you see either 'CRAFT' or 'Whisgars', turn right. Continue straight until you see NARZ club and follow the road left around the bend. We are located on the second small private street on the left; you will see our sign:)

From Hua Lamphong Railway Station (Central Station):
Take the MRT 4 stops (in the direction of Bang Sue) to Asok/Sukhumvit MRT station (35 baht).

From Bang Sue Railway Station (North Station):
Take the MRT 11 stops (in the direction of Hua Lamphong Railway Station) to Asok/Sukhumvit MRT station (60 baht).

From Northern Bus Terminal (Mo Chit):
Note: the bus station is not connected to the mass transit. You will need to take a motorbike taxi to 'Mo Chit' BTS station (~50 baht)
Take the BTS (in the direction of Bearing) 11 stops to Asok BTS (~60 baht).

From Eastern Bus Terminal (Ekkamai):
Take the BTS (in the direction of Mo Chit) 3 stops to Asok BTS (25 baht).

From New Southwest Bus Terminal (Chimplee/Sai Tai):
Note: the bus station is not connected to the mass transit and it's far outside BKK. Your only choice on this one is to take a taxi. The cost should be 200 baht per meter but as it's 10km outside the city with no connection, the taxis will start high. Haggle hard!
