Inside the Best Coworking Spaces in Jakarta
South East Asia is rapidly growing as one of the major digital nomad hotspots in the world, and the scene you can be part of whilst coworking in Jakarta proves this point. You’re not going to be short of spots and you’ll also be thankful for a break from the hustle and bustle of this wild metropolis. If you’re looking to cowork in Indonesia, Jakarta (being the capital) is likely your best bet with over 75% of the nations hubs based there. Coworking spaces in Jakarta are a newer scene but Bali is going to be your second best choice.
While Jakarta isn’t the digital nomad hotspot like Chiang Mai, it still has a booming scene worth checking out.

GoWork
Arguably the most accessible of the coworking spots (and again, this is a chain – 11 in Jakarta and counting!), these are actually less typically office based and are more visible in the various malls. These make them popular with drop in, drop out workers rather than those looking to work on a semi-permanent basis. Plus, their location makes for great access to shopping and restaurants. Most of the GoWork setups have small bars where you can grab drinks quickly and conveniently.

WeWork
Offers Free Beer. Thought it best we open with that, seeing as this is a Bodega article after all. Less informal though and you’ll likely need to sign up to a monthly contract to get a hold of the free beer, making it somewhat less free… WeWork come from successful ventures in New York and each of their setups (3 already in Jakarta) is finished beautifully and peaceful to work in.
