BODEGA ITINERARIES: 24 HOURS IN KOH PHI PHI

Koh Phi Phi is a small archipelago located in the Andaman Sea of Thailand, off the Krabi coast. Known for its stunning beaches, crystal-clear waters, and picturesque limestone cliffs, Koh Phi Phi is a popular destination among travelers. If you only have 24 hours to spend in Koh Phi Phi, here is a crafted itinerary made by us to help you make the most of your time:

9:00 AM – Arrive in Koh Phi Phi

If you’re coming from Phuket or Krabi, you can take a ferry to Koh Phi Phi Don, the main island. The ferry ride from Phuket / Krabi takes around 2 hours, and you’ll arrive at the Tonsai Pier, which is the main pier on the island.

Bodega Hostel is a great place to stay while on the island. Check-in starts at noon but you can drop your bags off at the hostel and continue to explore the surrounding area. From Tonsai Pier, it’s a ten minute walk to the hostel.

10:00 AM – Breakfast at a local restaurant

Start your day with a delicious breakfast at one of the local restaurants on the island. Koh Phi Phi has a variety of restaurants, serving everything from Thai cuisine to international dishes. A popular option is Patcharee French Bakery, which serves fresh coffee as well as a range of breakfast options. You can also try out Chaokoh Phi Phi as they have an ocean-side restaurant which serves food throughout the day.

11:00 AM – Snorkeling at Shark Point

After breakfast, head to Shark Point for some snorkeling. Shark Point is located on the Eastern side of the island, and it’s one of the best spots to see a variety of marine life, including blacktip reef sharks. You can rent snorkeling gear from one of the many dive shops on the island.

1:00 PM – Lunch at Garlic

After snorkeling, head back to the island for lunch. There are many beachside restaurants and bars where you can grab a bite to eat. We recommend trying Garlic Restaurant for lunch because they are a must-visit for Phi Phi visitors. Their authentic Thai cuisine is satisfying and energizing, giving you plenty of energy for the rest of your day.

2:00 PM – Explore the island on foot

After lunch, take a walk around the island. You can explore the narrow streets, shops, and markets. The sun is likely to be beating down hard at this point, so if you’re out and about make sure to wear a hat and stay hydrated!

3:30 PM – Relax at Long Beach

In the late afternoon, head to Long Beach, which is located on the Eastern side of the island. Long Beach is less crowded than Ton Sai Bay, and it’s a great spot to relax and soak up the sun. The easiest way to get her is through Viking Beach. Find Viking Beach on Google Maps and then follow the signposts to a trail. The trail will lead you to Long Beach. The entire journey should take 20 minutes on foot from the main Phi Phi marketplace. You can rent a sunbed and umbrella from one of the beachside vendors. Long Beach also has a lovely beachside restaurant at the Paradise Pearl Bungalows that serves snacks and beer. It’s a lovely way to spend a couple of hours in the afternoon.

5:30 PM – Sunset at the Viewpoint

The Koh Phi Phi viewpoint is a must-visit for guests of the island. The viewpoint has 4 stops, and the first 2 are quite easy to reach. It’s a 30 minute hike uphill, and the view is spectacular. The trail goes through a forested area, with fruit and flowers strewn across the path. The entry ticket is only ฿30. While you might have broken a sweat getting to viewpoint 1, the 2nd viewpoint is not much further so don’t be discouraged! Viewpoint 2 has a deck and café where you can enjoy the sunset with a freshly squeezed orange juice. Once the sun sets you can begin to make your way down for a well-deserved dinner.

8:00 PM – Dinnertime!

For dinner, there are several options depending on your mood and budget. On Phi Phi, you can find several options, including excellent Thai food, pasta, pizza and burgers. We recommend walking through the market and trying out various foods. If you are a vegan, street food is not always an option. We’ve put together a list of recommendations to help you find the best vegan food in Phi Phi on this article here.

10:00 PM – Nightlife oh Loh Dalum Beach

After dinner, head to Slinky Beach Bar on Loh Dalum Beach for some nightlife. Slinky Beach Bar is one of the best places to party on the island. They have a DJ, fire dancers, and a great atmosphere. The entire beach comes alive at night, with exciting fire shows and DJ’s at every club. Slinky Bar is a good starting point for the evening. Walk down to Ibiza from Slinky and you’ll find different parties along the way, each with a different vibe.
